2013 Local Agency Grant Opportunity!

The WIC Association of New York State, Inc., (the Association) is once again offering member local agencies the opportunity to apply for a $500 mini-grant designed to fund a one-time-only participant outreach event (at least 2 grants will be awarded). The funding for this initiative comes from the Marketing and Communications Committee of the Association (the Committee) and is for the purpose of assisting local agencies to increase or retain caseload. Increased caseloads will not only help the local agency to meet its caseload goals for the year but also help New York State maintain its very important federal funding.

Good News for FY'13!
From the National WIC Association: Today, the House passed the Continuing Appropriations Act of 2013 (H.R. 933) in a vote of 318-109. On Wednesday, the Senate passed the omnibus measure 73-26. It will now go to the President to be signed into law. This replaces the Continuing Resolution set to expire on March 27th.
