Mini-Grant Winners Announced!

We are pleased to announce the winners of the Association’s first Mini-Grants for Outreach. Congratulations to the Washington County WIC Program for their application for funding for a “Rock ‘n’ Rest” station at the Washington County Fair and to the Tioga Opportunities Family Health Services WIC Program who applied for funding for their booth at the Tioga county “Feelin’ Fine Family Fun Time” health fair. A total of 11 agencies applied for the grants. Applications were scored on the basis of completeness, originality, estimated number of people reached, and potential for attracting and retaining caseload.

The eleven applications received were very impressive and the Association looks forward to funding future projects and possibly expanding the number of awards.

Thanks to all the programs who applied: Anthony Jordan Health Center, Schoharie County Community Action, North Country Children’s Clinic, Orange County Health Department, Cattaraugus County, Allegany County, Middletown Community Health Center, Morrisania Diagnostic and Treatment Center, Yeled v’Yalda, and, of course, the two winners: Washington County WIC and Tioga Opportunities.
